Daytime Actions

During the day, you choose to also take one daytime ship action. It is assumed that you’re either given a break, or find an opportune time to take a ship action. Below are all of the daytime ship actions a character can take:

Work Diligently: Gain a +4 bonus on any one check for a job’s daily task

Influence: Make normal checks for a job’s daily task and attempt to influence a single NPC. Use Intimidate to influence them through fear, Bluff to influence them with either Seduction or Deception, Diplomacy to influence them with conversation and kind words, or Perform to influence them through a certain performance; this last one (Perform) could be difficult to pull off, and you must use it in an appropriate manner for it to influence people.

Sneak: Make normal checks for a job’s daily task and briefly explore one area of the ship (the PC can make a single Perception check or other skill check with no chance of detection)

Shop: Take a –2 penalty on all checks for a job’s daily task and visit the quartermaster’s store.

Shirk: Take a –2 penalty on all checks for a job’s daily task and take time exploring one area of the ship. The PC can take 10 on a single Perception check or other skill check, but must make a check to avoid being discovered (Typically Bluff, Stealth, or Sleight of Hand, depending on what you’re doing, but I’m open to other ideas.)
